7: The Hook - A Docker’s Tale

I wrote The Hook after moving to Wapping and hearing the stories of the local dockers and their families. Jo Clack knocked the song into shape and we recorded it as part of our short-lived Lee Boo project in the mid ‘90s. Producer Philip Tennant heard the song and recorded this version for no other reason than he wanted to! We recorded it at Intimate Studio in Wapping. As well as Jo on mandolin and guitar, it features Tim Weller on drums, Peter Noone on bass and Robin Scott on keyboards.
